アメリカ人アーティスト、アレックス・カッツ（Alex Katz）と、その息子で詩人、翻訳家、批評家、編集者、キュレーターのヴィンセント・カッツ（Vincent Katz）による作品集。イタリア人アーティストであるエンツォ・クッキ（Enzo Cucchi）が編集を手がける本書は、作者のドローイングに加え、ヴィンセント・カッツによる文章を収録している。3つの主題における親密な関係性を通して形成されていくプロジェクトをまとめた一冊である。
本書に収録されるドローイングは全て、ペインティングのためのスケッチや習作をリソグラフでプリントしたものである。差し込まれた2つの小さなページでは、表は木版印刷によって父子2人のカッツのポートレートがプリントされ、裏にはヴィンセント・カッツによる2編の詩が収録されている。そのうち1作は、エンツォ・クッキに捧げたものである。
This publication, edited by Enzo Cucchi, gathers drawings by Alex Katz and words by his son Vincent. It is a project that takes shape through the intimate relationship between the three subjects.
All the drawings from this publication are risograph printings of both original sketches for paintings and the artist's exercises. Two smaller inserts present, on the front, woodcuts showing portraits of two Katz, father and son, conceived by Enzo Cucchi, and on the back two poems by Vincent Katz, one of which is dedicated to Enzo Cucchi.
